Flexradio Port Devices Driver

Dsp driver download. 11.Nov.2018 Update

I have lost track of how many updates Microsoft has released since I first penned this article a few years ago. Working to troubleshoot an issue in an online forum I was pleased to find Silicon Labs has continued to release updated drivers.

When asked which driver to install you probably want the objfre one, it does not have the debugging stuff the checked one does After rebooting look in device manger, under multiple port serial adapters, it should show N8VB's vCom driver without any red or yellow decorations. Tell HRD to use one of the ports, tell SDR to use the other. The left column then switches from COM port selection to the list of FlexRadio rigs that are on your network. Be sure to turn Comm PTT to YES for the Flex. As a rule of thumb for WriteLog, Comm PTT is not reliable for most rigs that have a physical COM port connection. For this FlexRadio driver, however, YES is the recommended selection. Works with FlexRadio. SDR-1000 USBIO Driver. This is the USBIO driver for the SDR-1000 to allow for a PC USB port to connect to the SDR-1000. Update the device driver. In the search box on the taskbar, enter device manager, then select Device Manager. Select a category to see names of devices, then right-click (or press and hold) the one you’d like to update. Select Search automatically for updated driver software. Select Update Driver.

Reviewing the release notes also available at the link below the latest drivers are certified with later versions of Windows 10.

The version on the Yaesu website is several years old.

Install was easy it updated the existing driver install.

I am running Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit and am able to run the latest version of PCC downloaded from the Yaesu website without any special settings. Ham Radio Deluxe also works just fine with the updated driver.

Flexradio Port Devices Driver

With all of the security issues folks are having with Windows as Microsoft hardens the operating system. I would recommend following the Microsoft broad recommendation of keeping drivers updated.

I received an email from Ed Ve7ED raising awareness to a new USB serial driver from Silicon Labs, this is the chip which Yaesu uses in the FTDX3000 and I suspect other serial to USB radios and cables. Note if you are using Linux or OSX drivers for those platforms are also available. I have installed the 64Bit driver on my Windows 10 system and no runs, drips or errors.

Also worth noting drivers are available for OSX, Linux and Android if you are for example using FLDigi on those platforms.

“A lot of people have had issues with the Yaesu USB Driver

FYI, Silicon Labs just released a new driver Jan 26, 2016

Flexradio Port Devices Drivers

Hi,
So I've been having an on-going problem trying to install a FlexControl in
Windows 7 64 bit. I have tired two Flex Controls with the same results. I
have talked with Flex about the problem as well.
So far, I have removed a PCI-to-serial card from the computer thinking that
may be causing a problem.
I have shut off the on-board COM port in the BIOS I have disconnected all
USB devices I have uninstalled VSPMgr and confirmed there are no zombie
ports remaining
Whenever I plug the FlexControl in, it looks for the driver and fails to
install it. FlexControl shows up as either an unknown device under 'Other
Devices' or an unknown device under 'Ports (COM & LPT)'. I go into Device
Manager, update the driver using the Flex Control directory under PowerSDR
V2.5.3 and a window pops up saying the device already has the most current
driver. I tried updating the device by picking FlexRadio from a list of
device drivers. Two FlexControl USB Control Knobs are listed. One of them
says that it has an Authenticode signature and the other one says the driver
is not digitally signed. I tried using both of them and each time a window
comes up saying 'A service installation section in this INF is invalid'.
I looked in the flecontrol.inf file and found a line in there that says
'ServiceBinary=%12%usbser.sys'. I'm not sure what the %12% variable refers
to. I found usbser.sys in the following directories:
C:WindowsSystem32DriverStoreFileRepositorymdmcpq.inf_amd64_neutral_fbc4

Would the %12% point to any of those?
I'd really like to get this thing working. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
Thank you.
